The research project titled “A Study on the Status of Women in Ireland” was carried out in August 1998 by the Women’s Institute in cooperation with the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Dublin. The project aimed to gain a better understanding of the social, cultural, and legal conditions of women in Ireland. Its outcome was a quantitative and qualitative report on the situation of women in the country.
