Women’s Institute is a non-governmental and non-profit organization that officially began its activities in 1983. Its mission has been to raise wareness, empower women and less privileged groups, and strengthen social participation. In its new phase of work, the Institute focuses on social justice, education, the environment, and water-related challenges. Through dialogue, participatory action research, facilitation, and collaboration with civil society actors, researchers, and grassroots organizations, the Institute seeks to provide a platform for identifying local and sustainable responses to challenges in the field of water.
