Women’s Institute Holds Consultation Meeting with Social Activists and Civil Society Organizations

A consultation meeting with social activists and civil society organizations was held on Tuesday, 24 February 2026, by the Women’s Institute, with the participation of representatives of grassroots organizations, social activists, and civil society actors.

The meeting brought together 20 participants, including representatives of the Rahman Institute, Navid Institute, Local Women Irrigators, the Women’s Entrepreneurship Development Foundation, members of the Women’s Institute, and a number of social activists. Participants discussed the role and responsibility of civil society organizations in the current social context.

At the beginning of the meeting, some participants raised questions and concerns about the purpose of the gathering and the path ahead. As the discussion progressed, and through the use of participatory methods, the atmosphere of the meeting moved toward the exchange of experiences, collective reflection, and the identification of shared capacities. This helped create space for constructive dialogue among participants.

During the meeting, participants discussed concerns such as rising social and psychological harms, declining social trust, economic pressures, and the need to strengthen the role of grassroots networks. They also focused on existing capacities, including human networks, field experience, local trust, and opportunities for face-to-face interaction, while exchanging ideas on short-term and practical actions.

The meeting was organized to strengthen synergy among civil society organizations and to leverage social capacities to respond responsibly to the challenges facing society. It emphasized the importance of dialogue, cooperation, and collective action in promoting social capital.
